Federation of Shotokan Karate
Sensei Aidan Trimble established the Federation of Shotokan Karate in 1986 and is the Chief Instructor at the DOJO venue in Beeston. He was four times British champion , four times European Team Champion, and in 1983 he won the Individual World Championships title in Tokyo, Japan.
Laceby FSK is affiliated to the FSK and this gives students the opportunity to train and grade regularly with Sensei Trimble both in Laceby and at the purpose built DOJO in Beeston, Nottingham. Also, throughout the year Laceby's karate ka are able to take part in Kata and Kumite 3-4 hour training sessions. The year's training culminates in the FSK National Championships also held at the DOJO.
Members of affiliated clubs throughout the country also have the chance to train in weekly Squad Sessions at Beeston's DOJO and compete in National WKF / EKF competitions. These sessions are taught by Senseis Sonny Roberts (World Champion Men's Kumite Ozawa Cup Las Vegas 2015) and James Wells ( Bronze Medalist Men's Team Kumite Ozawa Cup Las Vegas 2015).
